Trick or Treat

My nephews insist that you give them some candy.
They need more chocolate and suckers.
Don't be lame and say they've had to much sugar.
That's just what a grown-up would say.

Ready to go!

Spiderman says, "with great power comes great responsibility." You've got the power to go to the store and get candy. Share the wealth.

The Dalmatian adds, "woof." Hard to argue with that kind of logic.

Oh, I feel bad. I've left all you faithful readers out of a few weeks of awesomeness. My bad.

Let's see here - - Back in September, I participated in a station event called "Feeshorama." (It's an '-orama' so you know it's good.) A bunch of us got on canoes and fished down the Mississippi River just north of town. What a perfect day it was. Not too hot, yet not too chilly. Good company and lots of relaxing time.

On the Canoe

I'm apparently a bad angler. I lost about 5 jigs and didn't catch even one fish. But the delicious hotdogs and gorgeous river made it all worthwhile.

Me

A couple days later, I got a ticket to a Wild preseason game. YAY Hockey!

They crushed St. Louis 6-0 and there was a good fight. Awesome. I taught Heather all about the finer rules of hockey.

This past weekend I got to play tourist in my hometown. My friend Katy came up from Tulsa for a short vacation and to run the 10 mi race on marathon day. Here she is just before the finish line. She'd hate me if she knew I posted this photo... Don't tell her.

All I had to do was drop her off and pick her up. I did really enjoy watching the marathoners. Maybe someday I'll be able to do one myself.

Actually, those are 10-milers, but you get the idea. Besides the running, Katy and I traveled all over. We drove up to a cute town on the St. Croix river. We hopped over to Wisconsin because Katy had never been. So here we are in Wisconsin... at a liquor store... cause there is little else in Wisconsin.

And it's a good thing she came. Without her, the giant cherry just might have fallen off the giant spoon. She saved the day.

Apparently there's a lot to do in Minnesota. I had no idea.
